The princess Elisabeth station, version 2.0

In this post you can find some pictures on the intensive work performed to extend the current station. You can see the workers busy starting a new building adjacent to the original station. This new building will be occupied with a garage (groundfloor) and some bedrooms (1st floor).

We had a few days of bad weather with a lot of wind and snow falls. The snow had accumulated all around the station and a lot of digging and snow shoveling was needed.

Six crew members have been doing a traverse to the coast, pulling back containers that had been delivered at the start of the Antarctic summer. Some of these containers contain wood for the new building.

This is our fuel station for vehicles at the station. Tanking in cold conditions 🙂
